Notes from "the Green Man"
Here’s some notes from Sunday night to keep it fresh in our hearts. Feel free to add in a point that was meaningful to you if I missed it.
What Is Faith? Hebrews 11:1
Faith is the confident assurance of what we hope is going to happen.
1. Faith is an attitude.
- it responds readily to what God says
- faith can be refused or received
2. Faith is an action. James 2:17-18
- it is not passive
- Faith in action provokes God to action.
- How many people are waiting for our obedience?
- We have to continue in faith. (don’t quit) Hebrews 6:11
3. Faith is an agreement. Matthew 18:19
- it is active 2 Corinthians 1:20
- the power of the Law of Agreement
4. Faith is assurance.
- True faith does not allow doubt to achieve it’s objective.
- True faith sabotages doubt. Romans 4:19-21
